如何委婉表达“我胖了!”

Stop Saying "I'm FAT" - Learn English Expressions

去年夏天 我身材很有型
Last summer I was in shape,
那时我几乎每天都去健身房
I went to the gym almost every day
但接下来圣诞节来临
but then Christmas came
然后我每天都在吃巧克力
and then I was eating chocolate every day
所以镜头只能看到这里是有原因的
So there’s a reason that the camera stops around here-ish
这样你就不会看到我的肚子有多松弛
You can’t see how soft the middle is
我的意思是我并不胖 只是有点丰满而已啦
I mean I’m not fat just kind of chubby
所以今天我们来学一些不同的单词
so today we’re going to learn a bunch of different words
用来表达瘦 胖 健壮
to mean fat, to mean thin, to mean athletic
以及一些描述你去健身房健身 改变饮食
and the words which describe the changes that can happen to your body
对身体所带来的变化的一些词汇
when you go to the gym, change your diet,
所有那些有趣表达
all of that fun stuff
让我们开始吧
Let’s begin!
叭叭英语

表达 胖 瘦 健壮 的表达方式
ways to say: “fat/thing/athletic”
叭叭英语 在线学英语
papa English learn English on line
这些形容词可用来描述这类胖体形
So these are some adjectives to describethis body type
如果你想要形容一个人有点胖
Now if you want to describe someone
这样直说有点不礼貌
It sounds insulting to say
"那家伙你知道吧 他可有点胖"
“You know that guy, he’s kind of fat”
而是最好说
instead it’s better to say
你知道 他看着有点壮
“You know the guy, he’s kind of big”
Big 是不那么冒犯别人描述体形的方式
“Big” that’s the less insulting way of describing the body type
医学上称 肥胖或超重:
Medically, you will say obese or overweight
这两个词是医生会用的词
those are the words doctors will use
Obese和Overweight
“Obese” and”Overweight”
Puffy 当你在早晨醒来时 你懂的 你的脸像
“Puffy” – You know when you wake up in the morning and your face is like…
像一只小胖仓鼠
Like a little fat hamster
然后你会说 My face is so puffy
Then you would say”My face is so puffy”
Chubby 是指胖却萌萌哒那种
“Chubby” – It means fat but kind of ina cute way
想像一个小宝宝
Think of a baby
你可以形容一个胖乎乎的宝宝为Chubby
You would describe a fat baby as being”chubby”.
这很可爱
It’s cute.
Aww your baby is so chubby
“Aww your baby is so chubby”
Chunky 如果用这个词形容宝宝
“Chunky” – If you describe a baby as chunky
还算比较可爱的形容
It’s kind of cute
但如果那个人不是婴儿 那么有点冒犯别人
if it’s not a baby, it sounds very insulting.
chubby用法与chuncky一样
Same with this one actually
这两个词最好不要用来形容婴儿以外的人
yeah maybe don’t call anyone over babyaged”chubby” or”chunky”
相信我 他们不会喜欢这个词
Trust me they won’t like it
那么你该如何形容这类较瘦小的体型呢
Okay how would youdescribe this body type?
有很多不同的形容词
there are a bunch of different adjectives.
有一些是褒义的 有一些是贬义的
Some sound positive, some sound negative.
了解它们的区别是很重要的
It’s important to know the difference
Thin和Skinny都是听起来既可能是褒义的
“Thin” and”skinny” both of them can sound positive
也可能是贬义的
and they can sound negative
这取决于你如何说 下面是一个褒义的例子
It depends how you say it. ExampleThe positive way:
Do I look fat
“Do I look fat?”
No you look really thin really skinny
“No you look really thin really skinny”
但是它也可以表达贬义
But it can be in a negative way
例如 如果有人看起来像生病了
for example if someone looks ill
你可能会说Oh my god have you seen Dave
you might say “Oh my god haveyou seen Dave?”
No, why? is he ill?
‘No, why?is he ill?’
like dude, he’s fine but oh my god he’s very thin
like dude, he’s fine but oh my god he’s very thin
或者He’s very skinny
or “…He’s very skinny”
这两个词都可以体现出褒义
so both can sound positive
他们也可表达贬义
they can sound negative
这取决于你怎么说
it depends how you say it
像这些都是赞美的词
These however, they’re all compliments
“slim” ” slender” “svelte” and “lean”
“slim ” “slender” ” svelte” and ” lean”
这些都是赞美词
these are all compliments.
都用来形容你苗条娇小的体型
They’re all saying you have this body type
并且表示你看起来状态不错 很简单
and you look great.Simple.
当然 如果你生病了
Now of course if you’re ill
营养不良
if you’re malnourished
又或者食欲不振
if you’re not eating anything
我们可以用一些贬义词来形容以上的情况
there are some negative words that you can use
这些词听起来不太好
so these ones they don’t sound good
有点冒犯人
they’re kind of insulting
lanky 是专指你又很瘦又很高
so lanky that specifically means you’re very skinny and very tall
再次强调 这并不是赞美
and again it’s not a compliment
You are really lanky
“You are really lanky”
这不是赞美之词
that is not a compliment
Gaunt和Scrawny表示你看起来瘦且不健康
“Gaunt” and”scrawny” they both mean you look thin and unhealthy
或许是因为你生病了
maybe you’re ill
又或者你总不吃东西
maybe you’re not eating
总之你看起来状态很糟糕 很消瘦
but you look bad and skinny
体型的改变取决于你的饮食和运动
your body can change depending on your diet or your exercise
首先让我们来讨论一下饮食
First let’s look at diet
diet这个词代表你吃的食物
The word”diet” just means the food you eat
例如 如果你的医生问你
For example if your doctor asks
So tell me about your diet
“So tell me about your diet”
你的医生只是想问你都吃些什么食物
Your doctor is simply asking”What food do you eat”
就是这么简单
that’s it
但如果我们有个动词带有“diet”
but if we had a verb with”diet”
现在我们是在谈论计算卡路里和减少糖分
now we’re talking about counting calories, reducing sugar
拒绝垃圾食品 以及吃得更健康
and bad unhealthy foods and generally eating more healthily
你可以说
so you can say
I’m getting chubby I need to go on a diet
“I’m getting chubby I need to go on a diet”
to go on a diet 我要开始吃得更健康
“To go on a diet”To start eating more healthily
当你的饮食变得更健康
when you change your diet to be more healthy
你会说 I am on a diet
then you would say”I AM on a diet I’m on a diet”
Get those donuts away from my face I’mon a diet
“Get those donuts away from my face I’mon a diet…
不 实际上是给我甜甜圈
…no actually give me the doughnuts”
我也提到了在饮食中减少摄取某些东西
I also mentioned to reduce something in your diet
比如糖
for example sugar
如果你想表达我需要减少糖分的摄入量
if you want to say”I need to REDUCE the sugar in my diet”
你可以用以下这个表达方式
you could say this
I need to CUT DOWN ON sugar
“I need to CUT DOWN ON sugar”
Cut down on表示减少的意思
“Cut down on”means reduce
使用介词on加宾语
use the preposition on with an object
如果没有宾语
If there’s no object
就不需要用on 例如
don’t use”on” for example
Aly why aren’t you eating doughnuts every day
“Aly why aren’t you eating doughnuts every day?”
Well I’m getting chubby now so I need to cut down
“Well I’m getting chubby now so I need to cut down”
请记住那条规则
so remember that rule
对于我来说 像是每隔几个月会出现这种情况
Now for me this happens like every few months
我从这样变成这样
I start here and I go to here
那么我该如何表达体型的变化呢
so how can I talk about this change
你可以说I put on weight或者I gain weight
You can say”I put on weight” or”I gain weight”
你也可以说具体胖了多少 比如
you can also talk about specific weights for example
每逢圣诞我都胖三公斤 都是巧克力的罪过
Every Christmas I put on three kilos, that is all in chocolate!
学生们经常会这样说
now usually students will say this
I put on MY weight或I gained MY weight
“I put on my weight” or”I gained my weight” No!
不 千万不要这样说
Don’t say that
英语母语者不会说I put on MY weight
We don’t say”I put on my weight”
只是I put on weight 或具体的数字
Just”I put on weight”or this specific number
如果你过去穿小码或中码
also if you started wearing size small or medium
现在你却穿大码或者超大码
and then you wear large orextra-large, you would say
你可以说我上涨了一个尺码
go up a size, for example
“last year I put on weight and I went up a size
“Last year I put on weight and I went up a size”
如果你从这个体型减到了这个体型
if you start with this body type and you change to this body type
你可以说我降了一个尺码
you can say go down a size
例如 我之前是穿L码
for example I was a large
后来我降了一个尺码 所以现在我穿中码
but I went down a size, now I’m a medium
这不是真的 醒醒 我现在还是大码状态
that’s not true I’m still a large
当你的体型由大到小
and when your body goes from this to this,
我们不能说体重OFF了
we don’t say put OFF the weight
你可以说lose或者drop
You say”lose” or”drop” weightfor example
例如 你
“Did you…?”
Yeah yeah I lost weight I dropped like10 kilos
“Yeah yeah I lost weight I dropped like10 kilos”
再次强调 我们不能说
and again we don’t say
I lost MY weight or I dropped MY weight
“I lost my weight” or”I dropped my weight”
不可以 只能说I lost weight或I dropped weight
no just”I lost weight”,”I dropped weight”
或者说你减重的具体数字
or the specific weight that you lost
你也可能会听到这个表达方式
you might also hear the expression
be in或者be out of shape
to” be in / out of shape”
例如 如果你说He / she is in shape
for example if you say”He / she is in shape”
这都表示他们的身材很健壮的意思
Typically they mean this
如果你的身材不好
and if you’re out of shape,
这意味着你有点微胖
it could mean you’re a bit chubby
或者你是这样的 你的运动能力为零
or you’re this your athletic ability is zero
如果你跑五分钟 就会像我一样要死要活的
and if you run for five minutes you will dielike me
表达身材由差变好之间的变化
to describe the change from out of shpe to in shape
你可以使用Get in shape 比如
you can say “Get in shape” for example
He got in shape after going to the gym every day
“He got in shape after going to the gymevery day”
非常特定地 如果我们要说你增肌了
Very specifically if we mean you gain muscle,
也有不同表达方式
there are different words
“You bulk up”, “you beef up”, “you get hench”
“You bulk up”, “You beef up”, “You get hench”.
我觉得这只是英式表达方式而已
I think this is only a British expression,
美式表达 也许你可以去澄清一下
American’s maybe you can clarify
但我认为Get hench只是一种英式表达
but I think”Get hench” is only aBritish expression
这些是用来描述这类体型的词汇
these are adjectives to describe this body type
“muscly ” ,”hench”,oh……jacked too
“muscly”,”hench”, oh……jacked too
The guy is so jacked, I think he lives in the gym
“The guy is so jacked, I think he lives in the gym”
你可能有很多肌肉
You can have lots of muscles
也可能既有肌肉又微胖
you can be muscly and be a bit chubby too
然而如果你想要说
however if you want to say…
你有肌肉且零脂肪 你可以用以下的表达
You have the muscles but zero fatYou say these…
Get ripped Get shredded Get lean
“Get ripped”,”Get shredded”,”Get lean”
shredded 你会在广告里听到它
“Shredded” – You will hear that on adverts
或者在蛋白粉之类的商业广告中看到它
or see it in a commercial for like protein powder stuff like that
但在日常对话中 shredded并不十分常见
In conversation, it’s notvery common to say”shredded”.
lean 这个词很常见
“lean” – yes that’s common
Ripped- 专指这种体形 有大量的肌肉却不胖
“Ripped” – Very specificallyis this lots of muscle no fat So,
例如
for example
Dude summer is coming soon. I’mgonna eat no bread and get super ripped
“Dude summer is coming soon. I’mgonna eat no bread and get super ripped!”
这涉及到另一个词 虽然听起来真的很无脑
okay there’s another word.It sounds really douchey but…
但你也可以使用swole这个形容词
You can also use the adjective”swole”
我和朋友们会使用这个词作为有趣的玩笑
my friends and I will use this word as a joke to be funny
因为使用swole的人 讲真的 是这家伙这样的
because the type of people who use”swole” seriously, is this guy.
Bro, am I looking swole?
Bro, am I looking swole?”
Bro, SO SWOLE!
“Bro, SO SWOLE!”
Yeah
“Yeah?”
so swole
“SO SWOLE!”
Yeah
“Yeah?”
所以你可以使用它 也可能从别人那里听到
so you can use it, you might hear it
但你会从那种人那里听到这个词
but you’ll hear it from that guy
并且你不想成为那种人
and you don’t want to be that guy
我自己的身材循环往复
So for me personally I have like a cycle
我会去健身房负重练习
I’ll go to the gym loads
我的肌肉会明显增加 但之后我又变得懒惰
I’ll get jacked but then I’ll get lazy
然后很放松 紧接着开始走向微胖
and really relaxed and I’ll get a bit chubby
最后又变瘦
then I’ll get skinny
接着我又会去健身房
then I’ll go to the gym again
这简直就是一个奇怪的循环
and it’s this weird cycle
通常 这种循环每年都会在我身上上演
that’s usually what happens to meevery year
那么请在评论里 告诉我你体重变化的经历
So in the comments tell me your experience with weight changes
你曾节食过吗 你曾很健壮吗
Did you go on a diet?Did you get jacked?
你曾健美增肌过吗 有过强森那样的身材吗
Are you shredded?you swole bro?
你曾看起来瘦弱憔悴过吗
Have you ever looked gaunt?
在我17岁时 我看起来瘦弱不堪
When I was like 17, I looked really gaunt
我就是不吃东西
I just wasn’t eating anything.
