This is a special series, we are doing it for the end of the year,
where we’ll be answering some of the most common questions
you guys asked us over the past 12 months.
We want to do something like a Q&A for a while now.
As always, the answers might not be exactly what you want to hear,
but we’ll be honest and somewhat to the point.

With that out of the way, here’s today’s questions.
Should I drop out and start a business?
The short answer is, well, it depends on a lot of things.
Let us explain in the long answer.
First of all, you should consider why it is you want to drop out in the first place.
Does it feel like school is a waste of time?
Maybe you are in the wrong field and made a poor choice in the first place.
We recommend you look deep within yourself to find exactly the things you are passionate about.
其次 考虑一下这个问题 “为什么不同时学习和创业呢？”
Then there is the question of “Why can’t you do both at the same time?”
We hear this so many times when people send us messages
saying that school is boring or it’s too hard
and they’ll never use it in life and they want to drop out and start a business.
Although we agree that the educational system is currently a disaster,
because they just weren’t able to modernize for the time we are living in.
It’s actually one of the easiest things you’ll do in life.
It’s super easy to finish education compared to the stress and struggles
that come with running an actual company,
因为坦白的讲 在学校的时候 风险不如你想象的那么大
because frankly, when you are in school, the stakes are not as high as you think.
But, if you run a business and you fail,
not only you and your family will suffer,
but the people you employ as well.
Running a business is a lot more complex and tiresome than most people think.
You know how you go one or two nights with the very little sleep before a test or an exam?
Well, that’s basically every single day when running a business.
The advantage of going through all of your education
is that you can actively build connections that will be valuable in the long run.
And if you pick the right school that’s aligned with your goals and life,
there’s actual knowledge you can pick up, you just need to find it.
In addition to that, you are not in school the entire day,
so you’re in the perfect position to start a small business on the side.
Something to consider is that in the first three years of business,
you’ll have to put in a lot of work with barely any results to show for it.
So our recommendation would be to start a business when you are in school,
so that by the time you graduate, you’re already in the decent position
and can sustain at least yourself.
The only situation where dropping out of school or college is acceptable
is when your business is already booming
and you simply can’t spare the few hours that school is demanding from you-
hours which you’d rather put into the company.
If you are in school, and your business is already generating
twice the amount of the money your mom and dad make,
you should consider dropping out to pursue it.
One thing we’ve experienced ourselves is that usually after you drop out,
the cost of educating yourself exponentially increases.
and you’ll end up paying for advice you could have gotten for free.
