Greetings fellow nerds.
现在给大家演示一些非常简单有趣的化学(实验)
Time for some really simple and fun chemistry.
我们都知道从易拉罐里倒出可乐十分容易
So we all know that you can easily remove coke from the can.
但在这个视频里 我们要做的 恰恰相反
In this video however we’re going to do the opposite
从饮料移掉易拉罐
and remove the can from the drink and show there
很多人都不知道 易拉罐里有个塑料内层
a little known plastic liner inside the can.
做这个实验非常简单
To do it is fairly simple.
首先拿类似可乐的饮料
First get a soft drink like coke,
用砂纸将易拉罐上的标签打磨掉
and using sandpaper, sand off the label on the can.
这个标签除了可以显示饮料的品牌之外
The label does more than just brand the can,
还可以让底下的金属免受腐蚀
it also protects the metal underneath from corrosion.
现在我用一罐无糖饮料(做实验)
Now i’m using a sugar free drink since it’s
因为不粘上糖的话 更容易清理干净
easier to clean up without sticky sugar getting on everything,
但你可以使用任何饮料(来做这个实验)
but you can use any drink.
好了 我们不需要让标签完全脱落
And there we go, we don’t need the label to be completely off,
只要打磨到让金属暴露出来的程度就可以了
just scratched up enough that we expose the metal.
现在打开易拉罐 在拉环间插入一根支撑杆
Now open the can and stick a support rod through the tab.
开罐时也要小心 别把拉环弄破了
We’re also opening the can so it doesn’t rupture as we remove it.
我们把易拉罐悬挂在浓度为5%的盐酸溶液里
Now we suspend the can in a solution of 5 % hydrochloric acid.
我尝试过浓度为5%的醋 但那不起作用
I tried to use 5 % vinegar but it didn’t seem to work.
像往常一样 我要警告大家:
As usual I should warn you
盐酸具有腐蚀性 操作时应戴手套
that hydrochloric acid is corrosive and you should wear gloves when handling it.
无论如何 让易拉罐静置悬挂一个小时
Anyway,let it stand for an hour

and as it reacts the acid dissolves the aluminum can and produces aluminum chloride.

This is how we’re removing the can without touching the coke.

Now for the fun part, carefully lift the can from the acid.
罐子里还有可乐 铝制易拉罐却不见了
And there is the coke, the aluminum can is gone.
那可乐为什么会保持原形呢?
So how is the coke staying in the same shape.
大多数人不知道 但实际上在罐子内层
Most people don’t know this but there is actually a very thin plastic liner
有个很薄的塑料层
on the inside of the can.
设置塑料层 是为了防止罐子的金属渗滤到饮料中
It’s put in to protect the drink from leaching metals out of the can.
现在它非常薄且易碎
Now it’s extremely thin and fragile and already
而我粗鲁的操作已经把它弄坏了 里面的饮料漏了出来
my rough handling has ruptured it and caused it to leak.
我准备将饮料排掉 让大家看到这个塑料内层
I’m going to let it drain out so you can see the liner.
看到了吧
And there it is.
如你所见 你并不是在用金属罐喝饮料
As you can see you’re never really drinking out of a
实际上 你喝饮料借助的是
metal can, you are really drinking out of a thin
在铝制饮料罐内部的塑料容器
plastic container that is inside an aluminum beverage can.
罐子的圆底没被溶解 是因为它比侧边厚很多
The bottom dome isn’t dissolved because it’s much thicker than the sides
而且它的表面有一些透明的塑料涂层
and also has some clear plastic coating as
这在一定程度上保护它免受酸的腐蚀
well protecting it somewhat from the acid.
总之 这就是从罐子里面的饮料移除罐子的方法
Anyway,that’s how you remove a can from the drink inside.
