我的家人经历了很多事情

They witnessed joy, happiness, success,

fear, sadness, grief all in a matter of a few days.

I was losing faith in people, in goodness, in the world.

I just couldn’t help but feel very alone.

For many many years,

In my life I have struggled through my own handicaps.

Handicaps like self-doubt, lose self-esteem, fear,

questions of “why”.

There is no answer to “why”.

You can shout it from the rooftops. You never get an answer.

The question to ask is “how”.
我现在能做什么
What can I do now?
最大程度上支撑我的是我对自己的愿景
What supported me the most was a visual of myself.
五年前 我可以看到自己
Five years from now, I could see myself.
我选择去坐下 想象 看到我自己
I chose to sit, and imagine, and see myself
做那些我想做的事情
doing the things that I wanted to do.
那些人们告诉我不能做的事
The things that people said I should not,
因为那会不安全
because it would not be safe for.
只因如果我做了 我会看上去很傻
I would be stupid if I do it.
但我可以看到理想的自己 更好的自己
But my ideal me, the better me. I could see.
我常做同一个梦 不过是白日梦
I had a recurring dream but daydream.
我过去常常看那个家伙 那个在山顶的人
I used to look at that guy and he was on top of that mountain.
他的头发在微风中飞扬
His hair was flying in the breeze,
他在向我招手
and he was waving at me,
他在说 你可以 你懂得 你来
and he saying: you can, you know, you come.
那景象铭刻在我的脑海中
I was locked onto that visual.
我想那就是以某种方式显现的东西
And I think that’s what manifested somehow.
或许那种魔力真的存在
And maybe that magic does exist.
当我想去体验爱时 我就去爱
When I wanted to feel love, I just began love.

I gave love to every single person I came across

in any room, in any street, anywhere.

And the reaction that I got back was full of love

so it filled me up.

We feel confused. We feel scared.
我们不知道
We don’t know how.
如何去做 就在那时
And it’s at that time
我们会对自己的核心力量失去信心
that we tend to lose belief in that core strength.
我们会忘记我们有能力去克服它们
We tend to forget that we have the ability to overcome.
我们有能力东山再起
We have the ability to rise.
我们有能力战胜失败
We have the ability to defeat defeat.
那些时刻是我们都需要的
And at those times is when we all need
来提醒我们 我们本来或可以很强
to remind us that we are and we can be strong,
我们可以克服困难
that we can overcome,

that dreams, as impossible as they might be, can come true.
