We’re gonna to show you how to enhance your subject in PhotoShop.

This is all about bringing more attention to your subject

And we are going to talk defferent ways to do this.

And everything you have to do is how to process the image

You can be drawn more to the lighter areas than you are at the darker areas photo.

You’ll also be drawn into areas that have a little bit more colour,

or more even going to add a little bit of a blur to your image
我们甚至会在锐化主体的同时
while sharpening your subject as well.

All of these things are just can bring the attention right to your subject.

So the first thing we wanna do is just brighten up subject a little bit.

We are gonna grab a cruves adjustment layer
我们选择“曲线调整图层”
Let’s go ahead and start by making a little bit brighter.
我们先把主体调亮一点
And then we are point the layer mask
然后点击“图层蒙板”
and hit the CRTL or CMD I
按住CRTL/CMD+I键
That’s gonna invert my layer mask
这样就会变成“反向图层蒙版”
hiding my layer.
隐藏图层
Now the next thing I want to do is zoom way out.
接下来要做的就是缩小视图
We’re gonna zoom out so I can see how my subject
缩小视图以便能够看到 主体和主体的光线强度
and the light levels of my subject relates to the rest of the image.
是如何与图片的其他部分相关联的
Super important step there.
这一步至关重要
We’re gonna grab a Marquee Tool,
我们找到“选框工具”
let’s go ahead and grab our Elliptical Marquee,

and just make a selection right around your subject.

And you can hold the spacebar down and move your selection
如果需要的话 可以在创建选区的同时
while you’re creating it if you need to.

Pro tip there.

Now once we have our selection around our subject

it’s time to click on our layer mask.
就可以点击“图层蒙版”了
I’m gonna hit CTRL or CMD+I,
按住CTRL/CMD+I键
invert that area on our layer mask.
反向图层蒙版上的区域
And then we’re gonna deselect by hitting CTRL or CMD+D.
然后按住CTRL/CMD+D键取消选择
So now we have our Curves adjustment layer
那么现在我们就有了一个“曲线调整图层”
making our subject a little brighter.
它能让主体变得更亮一点
We need to add a blur
显然 由于主体看起来有点失真
because obviously it doesn’t look realistic.
我们就需要给主体添加些模糊效果
And this is also super helpful to do when you’re zoomed out.
做这一步的时候 缩小视图的话也很有帮助
If you’re too far zoomed in when you do your blur,
倘若你添加模糊效果的时候 视图过大
it can be difficult to tell whether the blur is gonna look like, fake or realistic.
就很难分辨出模糊效果的真实性
So for instance,
举个例子
let’s go ahead and zoom out.
我们把视图缩小
We’ll go to Filter, Blur and Gaussian Blur.
选择“滤镜”-“模糊”-“高斯模糊”
This is just blurring the layer mask by the way.
顺便说一下 这里只是模糊了图层蒙版
See if you did a blur like this, for instance,
比如 你做了这样的模糊处理
you could still pretty much tell that there’s something go on in Photoshop, right?
你还是可以看出来一些PS处理过的痕迹 对吧？
Like there’s a blur,
就像这里有模糊效果
but…I don’t…I’m not buying, yeah.
呃……其实我并没觉得有模糊效果
So you just want to kind of bring your blur out a little bit more.
那么你就会想让模糊效果更明显一点
And again, it helps to be zoomed out.
再强调一下 缩小视图很有帮助
And you can see right about there actually looks pretty good.
你可以看到这样（把滑块滑到这里） 效果看起来确实很好
Like I don’t necessarily see,
最起码没刚刚那么明显
let’s just call it 350, in this case,
这个示例中我们就输入350吧
it’s gonna be different for every image by the way, so don’t just type in 350.
顺便说下 每个图像都不一样 别都输入350
There we go.
好了
That’s it, okay.
就这样 搞定
Now you can also use your move tool and kind of move this around.
现在你也可以使用移动工具来移动这个
So if you’re like, you know, where am I gonna put this highlight?
你愿意的话 可以想想 我要把这个高亮放在哪里呢？
You can just kind of move it right into place, that looks pretty good.
你可以把它移动到合适的位置 这样看起来就很好
Now we’re going to do this same thing,
现在 我们要做同一件事
adding a little bit of color to our subject,
给主体添加一点色彩
and the great part is we can just copy the layer mask.
最棒的是我们可以复制“图层蒙版”
So let’s go ahead and zoom in here.
那么 我们先放大视图
We’re gonna grab an adjustment layer and go to Vibrance.
来到“调整图层” 选择“自然饱和度”
And we’re just gonna take that Vibrance slider and drag it up.
点击“自然饱和度” 的滑块 向后拖拽
Now this will be different for every image sometimes just a little bit of vibrance will help.
这对于每幅图像来说都不一样 有时候一点点自然饱和度就够了
In this case, we can really go pretty far with it.
在此示例中 我们可以把滑块拖拽很远
Now again I don’t want this to be visible on my entire image,
我不想让它在整个图片上都是可见的
I’m trying to draw more attention to my subject.

So we’re gonna hold ALT or OPTN,

and I’m gonna click and drag this Curve adjustment layer mask.

There we go, you can see that double arrow there that means it’s working,

so hold ALT or OPTN,
按住ALT/OPTN键
click and drag your layer mask from one layer to another,

and you can see it just copies that layer mask.

So in this case, it’s adding vibrance
在此示例中 它是在曲线调亮的区域
to the same place where we lightened up with curves.

Now we’re going to go ahead and darken the borders of our image.
现在我们要把图像的边框调暗
Kind of giving it a little bit of a vignette.
就好像加了一些晕影
So let’s go ahead and zoom out again.

When you’re doing your lightening and darkening,
当你调节明暗的时候
highly recommend being zoomed out.

We’re gonna grab a curves adjustment layer,

bring it down just a little bit, we don’t have to go too far.

And this time you want to use a Elliptical Marquee,

but just make a larger selection here.

That looks pretty good.

And on our layer mask we’ll hit CTRL or CMD+I.
然后在图层蒙版上按住CTRL/CMD+I键
It’s gonna invert that and then let’s hit CRTL or CMD+D to deselect.
它就会反选区域 然后再按住CRTL/CMD+D键取消选择
Okay, now obviously you can see the border there.
好了 现在可以很明显地看到边界了
So same like we did before.
和之前一样
Filter, Blur, Gaussian Blur.
选择“滤镜”-“模糊”-“高斯模糊”
There we go, and we’re just gonna blur it by the same way.
好了 然后我们用同样的方法把它做模糊化处理
That looks pretty good, maybe a little bit more, just so it’s a little bit less obvious there.
这样看起来还不错 可能再多一点 如此就不会很明显了
Okay.

Now we’re looking pretty good.
现在看起来很不错
The last couple of things we want to do is add a little bit of a blur,
最后我们再添加一些模糊
and a little bit of a sharpen.
以及一些锐化
So we’re gonna create a new layer.
我们要创建一个新图层
We’ll go to Image and down to Apply Image.

And we’re gonna choose our layer is going to be merged,

super important,

and blend mode just choose normal.
“混合模式”选择“正常”
This just puts a snapshot of your image on a new layer.

So you can do things like blur or sharpen.
你可以做一些模糊或是锐化处理
Let’s hit OK.
点击“确定”
We’re gonna go to Filter, down to Blur,
然后我们选择“滤镜”-“模糊”
and we’re gonna go to our, you know what we’re gonna go to
我们还是选择 选择……
Blur Gallery.
“模糊画廊”
And we’re gonna go to Iris Blur.
然后选择“光圈模糊”
So the Iris Blur is really nice,
“光圈模糊”的效果非常好
basically in the center of the area here,
基本上 在这个区域的中心位置
It’s not gonna get blurred,
主体不会变得模糊
and it’s kind of kind of blur more and more as it goes to the edge.
而是到了边缘时 才会变得越来越模糊
Let’s go ahead and crank up our blur,
我们把模糊度调大一点
so you can get kind of get an idea what we’re doing here.

We want to just take these little dots
我们就把这些小的控制点
and pull them out to the edge of our image.

Okay, you can even go a little bit further outside of the edge there.

Now these interior dots these are like your center point, Okay?

So you want these relatively close to your subject.

There we go.

And then you want these to kind of go a little bit further up.

Again, you want to zoom out when you’re doing this sort of thing.

That’s just gonna help you do make it look realistic.

Okay, everything we do were,

you know, obviously this is not in camera,

but we kind of want to make it look like it’s in camera.

There we go.

So as I zoom back in, you can see our subjects in focus,

and it’s kind of getting blurred as it goes out.

It’s a little bit too much of a blur.

So we just simply take our blur,

and just bring it down

to the point where

you can tell that there’s a blur, but it doesn’t look fake.

And that looks pretty good.
看起来很不错
So let’s hit OK there.
点击此处的“确定”
And let’s just zoom in, we’ll turn that off and on.
然后放大视图 把它关掉再打开
Just a little blur, and it’s only on the outside, it’s not on our subject.
只是有点模糊 而且只在外围区域 不在主体
Now the next thing what we want to do is duplicate this layer.
接下来我们要做的是复制这个图层
So we’ll click and drag it to the new layer icon.
那么点击这个图层并把它拖拽到新图层图标
We’re gonna zoom in a little bit here,
把视图稍微放大
Filter, Sharpen, and Unsharp Mask,
选择“滤镜”-“锐化”-“USM锐化”
and here you want to choose the radius that’s…
这里你要选择的半径是……
If you choose a too large of a radius, you’re just gonna get this weird fake effect.
如果你选择的半径太大 就会得到这种奇怪的假效果
So bring your radius down to
所以要把半径减小到
where it picks up the details of your image.
它能捕捉到图像细节的地方
Okay, but you’re not getting any of that weird haloing effect.
而且不会有任何奇怪的晕环效果
Okay, and then you can adjust your amount until you get something that looks nice.
好的 然后可以调整“数量” 直到图片看上去效果还不错
Let’s hit OK.
点击“确定”
And then on this layer,
然后在这一图层
remember this is where we did a little bit of sharpening.
记住 这是我们做了一些锐化处理的图层
I only want this to be visible over my subject,
我只想让锐化在我的主体上可见
and remember earlier, we created a layer mask for that.
记得之前 我们为此创建了一个图层蒙版
So it’s right down here.

Vibrance and curves they share the same layer mask.
“自然饱和度”和“曲线”共用同一个图层蒙版
We’re going to hold ALT or OPTN and click and drag the layer mask right up here.
按住ALT/OPTN键 点击图层蒙版并将其拖拽到这里
And that’s to the sharpen. So I’m just gonna…
这就是锐化 然后要……
There we go, we’re just going to call that “sharpen”,
好了 然后把它命名为“锐化”
and this one we’re gonna call “blur”,

just so you kind of see what we got going on.

All right, well, let’s go ahead and show you the before and the after.

Here’s our before,

Now let’s zoom in a little bit,

So you can see we brighten up our subject a little bit

while darkening the background.
而背景变暗了些
We added a little bit more color to where our subject was,
我们给主体添加了一点色彩
and we even played with a blur in the background,
甚至给背景做了模糊处理
and sharpening the subject.
并且锐化了主体
All of these subtle changes take your attention from seeing the image as a whole,
所有这些细微的变化 都将关注从整体上转移开
bringing it right to your subject.

And this is gonna work,

no matter what type of photograph you’ve got.
