How I Tricked My Brain To Like Doing Hard Things (EASIEST METHOD)

One of the hardest things that i ever did in my life
like in terms of the sheer amount of willpower it required
was doing a three-day water fast
and i literally tricked myself into doing it
like it wasn’t even my plan to do this thing.
I only found out about it two days ago,
yet here i am, haven’t not eaten for the longest period of time in my entire life
and i like the fact that i’m starving
how did i pull this off
how did i trick myself to like doing such a hard thing
Well, it’s actually quite simple.
See during that period of time in my life,
i was getting fat, i was traveling around a lot and i sort of have this obsession
with trying out new foods whenever i go to a new country
including fast food chains
so one day i ended up stuffing myself past my limit with mexican food
and i was feeling super tired and bloated
so i decided to jump on my phone and
browse a subreddit called r fitness
because i felt like i had gone too far this time
and that i had to start shedding off
some of that belly fat i had accumulated
and by pure chance while scrolling through the subreddit
i came across a post
showing a before and after picture of someone who had undergone
a huge transformation in a very short period of time
it was something like 20 pounds in just two months
i was impressed and intrigued
at the same time how in the world did this guy do this
so i clicked on the post and started reading the comments
it turns out that all he did was fast
and i’m not talking about intermittent fasting or a 24 hour fast
this guy was doing weekly fast
no food, just water for an entire week at a time
My initial thought was this is crazy. Is that even safe to do?
Why would anyone do this?
But someone in the comments linked to another subreddit called r fasting
so i clicked on that and
it turns out there’s a huge community of people
who love talking about fasting
so i decided to sort all of the posts by top of all time and i started reading
and boy i was blown away
there were countless posts preaching about all these benefits of fasting
that i had never heard of before and
most of these posts were backing up their claims with trustworthy studies
Oh, my god! There were so many benefits!
apparently it promotes extremely fast fat loss with barely any muscle loss
it boosts your immune system by triggering something called a pathogen
it enhances your brain power it rebalances your gut
it keeps you focused, the list goes on and on and on
and i was hooked hooked on reading about all these benefits and
looking at all the before and after pictures of people
who had undergone the most amazing of transformations
i spent the entire day binge reading about what fasting could do for me
i remember scrolling through the subreddit while i was using the bathroom
i remember falling asleep to a documentary
where they talked about all these elderly people in some European country
who would go to a special clinic and fast
and it actually helped with many of the symptoms for the diseases they were suffering from.
i fully immersed myself in the world of fasting
and when i woke up the next day,
all of a sudden, i was motivated to do this thing.
this thing that i had never even heard of two days prior
and the next day i started my first three day fast.
i was able to trick myself into doing something extremely hard
by making it seem like it was the most important life-changing thing
that i could be doing in the entire world.
Basically, i sold the living crap out of it to myself
by exposing myself to the things they promised
over and over again all day long.
See the thing is if you can sell yourself on something,
if you can convince yourself that doing
this one thing will change your life,
you will have essentially tricked yourself into doing it
In fact, you will crave it.
You won’t even have the patience to wait because you’ll want to start it that badly.
You have a hard time meditating okay.
Go hang out on the meditation subreddit and start reading about all the benefits
Go binge watch hours of videos on Youtube about the most successful people
in the world who meditate and why they do it
Fall asleep listening to a documentary,
talking about how many benefits that you’ll get
and how it’ll change your life forever.
do this for one to two days non-stop
and i guarantee you’ll be aching to meditate
because you’ve convinced yourself that it’s the most important thing
that you could be doing in the entire world
and that’s how i trick myself into doing hard things.
Now it’s important to note that
doing something hard like this and building a habit are two different things.
What i’m teaching you here is how to generate huge amounts of motivation
so that you can take action
in order to be consistent,
you need to learn how to turn this action into a habit
and you can learn more about this by checking out my free habit building course
which i will link to in the description box below.
