If you just step out a little away from Tokyo,
you can find many places that offer you a different experience from the big city.
Last time I decided to visit Ibaraki prefecture
to check out some of the amazing nature it has to offer.
And what better way is there to see a city than from above.
Day trip from Tokyo series: Ibaraki.
Good morning everybody from Ibaraki.
So today I got up really really in the morning,
for one thing, and that is: paragliding.
So we are gonna be paragliding in Ibaraki today,
from actually that mountain there behind me.
So I’m kind of nervous,
because that is pretty high, and that’s my first time paragliding.
But let’s go inside the school and meet their instructor.
Right now I have to fill in my personal details and everything.
And then we are ready to go.
Heading up the mountain.
-Are we take off from here?-You betcha!
I can’t see anything!
I can feel my heart pounding.
Apparently that’s 550 meters,
so I get nervous, wish me luck.
Let’s do this!
Think I woke up the whole neighborhood, haha.
Can see Mt.Tsukuba too.
Get ready for landing!
Umm I was meant to do that.
I keep face planting each time I land.
Nailing the landing is so hard.
Wow, one word, wow.
It’s amazing when you are in the air,
because you can see all of Ibaraki.
So if you come to Ibaraki, and you want to see it,
I think the best way is from up high.
我看见了稻田 群山 树木
I saw the paddy fields, I saw the mountains, the trees.
That was my first time paragliding, and I’m still like,
my heart is beating.
It’s so much adrenalin.
This land has very suitable conditions for paragliding.
The probability to be fly is also very high.
Thermals (where air rises due to heat ) occurs a lot here.
Many people in Japan come here just to fly, so I wanted to experience many things work here.
This is a certificate of completion for paragliding.
I did it!
这是我的滑翔证书 我做到了哦 有视频为证
Take certificate that I did paraglides, and I did, I have all video.
We have many foreign visitors who come here, so we welcome anyone to come fly with us.
We also have staff who speak English, so feel free to book online or over the phone.
So now we we’ve come to mountain Tsukuba.
And we are going to ride the rope way to the top of the mountain.
Before you take the rope way,
there is a shrine here.
So we are gonna walk to there, and then take the rope way up to the top of the mountain.
To look at autumn colors.
Bright and red orange now.
It’s so beautiful when the leaves fall on you as well.
Such a vibrant color.
I would definitely recommend coming here in autumn
just because you can see the beautiful foliage.
I mean spring would be amazing as well cause you can see cherry blossoms.
Alright, so now we are gonna go rent out bicycles from the shop here.
And this street here is really nice,
it’s got a lot of traditional houses, it’s very quiet.
So let’s go inside and rent our bicycle.
The road leading up to the lake is called Ring Ring Road, just follow that and you will reach the lake.
Alright, let’s go in my mama Teddy.
What a beautiful little town.
And in this beautiful little town,
there is the second biggest lake in Japan here.
So we’d better get to there before the sun goes down.
I think we are here.
This is the second biggest lake in Japan.
After the one in shiga prefecture.
There are a lot of activities you can do here, like fishing,
a lot of locals come here to fish.
And you know what I feel?
I feel like the road was just so open and
sky feels like it’s much higher.
Sky feels like so much more higher than in Tokyo.
Oh, I love the houses here as well.
You can have like a 360 view of everything,
just because there is all tall building like in Tokyo.
So it’s nice to get away,
so Ibaraki and it was like it’s really close as well to Tokyo.
Thank you guys for watching,
if you want to see more videos, make sure to check out Ibaraki’s channel which I will link here or there.
And I will see you in my next video, see you!
