今天我们要用液氮来做3个科学实验
Today we’re going to do 3 science experiments with liquid nitrogen.
现在我们开始
Let’s check this out.
首先 我们倒一些液氮到这个碗里
First of all, we gonna pull a bunch of liquid nitrogen inside of this

bowl, whoa
看起来棒棒哒 我爱死液氮了
That looks so awesome, I love liquid nitrogen.
嘣 就这样
Boom, just like this.
然后这儿呢 哇 这玩意儿发出的声音够疯狂的
and then here, whoa, makes some such crazy noises.
然后这儿呢 我有肥皂泡泡
and now at here I got soap bubbles.
我要把肥皂泡吹到液氮里了
and I’ll just gonna blow bubble right into the liquid nitrogen.
吹不进去啊
I keep missing.
哇哦 快看
Whoa! Look at that!
泡泡在飘着但都结冰了 看见了吗
It’s floating but it’s all ice now. Can you see it?
哇哦 我们来近点看
Whoa! Let’s see close up.
快看泡泡
Look at them.
这些泡泡在飘着
There is bubble. It’s floating.
看 泡泡慢慢结冰了
And look, it turns into ice.
甚至都没有碰到液氮
And it’s not even touching liquid nitrogen.
看看它 这是冰
Look at that. It’s ice.
哇哦
Whoa!
看这些泡泡 都是飘着的
Look at them. They just float.
然后变成冰凌
But then it turns into icicles.
但还是在飘着
And they still float.

Half way, it’s already turned into ice.

And boom! Whoa! And it pops.
剩下的就都是冰了
And the rest is ice.
哇~这太疯狂了
Whoaaaaaa~ This is so crazy.
好了 来把这个泡泡
All right. Let’s dip this
浸入液氮里面

Wooooo
这个太有意思了
This is too much fun.
看看它们
Look at them.
都结冰了
And it’s ice.
哇哦 在我手上融化了 好疯狂
And whoa~ It melts into my hand. So crazy.
噢 这个也破了
Oh, it popped as well.
看到没?哇哦 看啊 它就是一块块冰 都不是泡泡了
Do you see? Whoa, look. It’s pieces of ice. It’s not even a bubble any more.
你看 它们都不爆 就只是冰了
You see? Dosen’t pop. It’s just ice.

Look at this. This is like soap now.

This is just ice.
这冰真是……我们做出了雪
Ice is so…we make snow

Hoooo, it’s cold.
喔哦 感觉像肥皂滑滑的
whooo, it’s very soapy.
还在我手上快速融化了
It’s melting to my hand. So quickly.
你知道吗?真的感觉像雪一样 太凉了
You know what? It feels like snow as well. It’s so cold.

我拿了个烧杯
I got here a beaker.
然后我要把气球套上去 希望这次不会破
And then I’m just gonna put a balloon over it. Hopefully this time it will not break.
小心点……嘣 就是这样套好
Carefully…boom. Just like that.
然后我要放吸管进去把气球吹起来
Actually I’m gonna pull a straw in that and blow up the balloon.
气球吹一半就可以了
Just kind of a half-way blown up balloon.
没什么问题
Not big deal.
接下来我们要做的就是把液氮倒进去
Next what we’re going to do is just put liquid nitrogen in here.
然后把这个烧杯放进液氮里
And then we’re going to put this beaker inside of liquid nitrogen.
快看气球会发生什么
Let’s see what happens. Look at the balloon.
气球变得越来越小了……
It’s getting smaller and smaller and smaller…
但你看 我都没有从烧杯里放出任何一点氧气
And guess what? I’m not even taking out any oxygen from the beaker at all.
我只是在给烧杯里的空气降温 就是这样
I’m just cooling out the air inside of the beaker. That’s it.
我的目的就是要让空气变冷
What I wanna achieve to get that balloon so cold
然后让气球都缩到烧杯里面
to where that balloon gonna go inside…all the way inside.
哇哦 看看气球都缩到什么样了
Whoa, look how much the balloon just shrunk.
现在我要帮助这个气球被吸入到烧杯里
Now I’m just gonna help it a little bit so it get sucked in inside there.
现在来看看会怎样
Now look what’s going on now.
我现在用的钳子
and I’m using tongs
这样我的手就不会
so my hands don’t warm up any air
使烧杯里的气体变热了
inside of the beaker.
我们来看看这气球会在烧杯里膨胀多少
We’ll see how much will it…get expand inside of this…um..beaker.
哇哦 看 它已经没有动静了
Whoa…Look, it doesn’t even warm up flow any more.
为什么会这样?
Why is that?
现在我们把它拿出来
Now let’s pull it out.
里面还有冰 看见没?
And ice inside of it. Do you see? I think my breath
我都觉得呼吸变冷了
is pretty much got frozen.
现在我们把放在这
Now we’re gonna leave it like this.
来看看这个
Now look at that.
看看气球
Look at that balloon.
我的天哪
Oh my gosh!
哇喔 气球自己从瓶子蹦出来了
Oooooh, Whoa, it popped out.
哇哦 好快啊
Whoooa, so fast. And it’s
它又慢慢开始往里面充气了
self filling backup again.
是不是很爽?
Isn’t it cool?
你要想更快我可以给瓶子加热
And if you want to get it faster I can warm up this
它充气的速度就更快了
tube. And it’s gonna fill up even more.
真的很冷 所以要小心 不要冻伤自己
It’s very cold. So be careful. Don’t get yourself frostbite.
