Number 10 a detective and the blacksmith brothers
在一个下雪的夜晚 侦探正在壁炉前面休息
on a snowy winter night the detective was resting in front of the fireplace
突然 有人朝他的窗户扔了一个雪球
Suddenly somebody threw a snowball at his window
由于撞击力太大 窗户碎了
The hit was so strong that the glass shattered
侦探站起身 刚好发现
the detective stood up and had just enough time
邻居的三个小孩跑开了
to notice three kids who lived in the neighborhood running away
三兄弟的名字分别是
They were brothers with the name’s
铁匠山姆 铁匠皮特和铁匠马克
Sam Blacksmith, Peter Blacksmith and Mark Blacksmith
第二天 侦探的门上多了一张纸条
The next day a paper note was left on the detective’s door

There it was written: ?blacksmith, he threw the snowball

Number nine hotel room

A woman was staying in her hotel room when somebody knocked at the door
她开了门
When she opened it
看到一个不认识的男人
she saw an unknown man
他看起来很惊讶 说 抱歉
He looked surprised and said ” I apologize.
我以为这是我的房间
I thought it was my room.”
他转头就走了 朝电梯的方向走去
He turned away and went in the direction of the elevators
然而这个女人回到房间后打了电话给保安
the woman however returned to the room and dialed security
她的疑心怎么这么重呢
Why was she so suspicious?

Number eight suicide or murder
一个侦探来到犯罪现场
A detective comes to a crime scene.
据说有人从一栋废弃的建筑物里的窗户跳出去自杀了
A man is said to jump out of a window of an abandoned building and commit suicide
侦探走进建筑里面
The detective goes inside the building
来到第一层 到了房间前面
to the first floor, to the room at the front
他点了一根烟
He lights a cigarette
走到能看到死者的那扇窗前面
goes up to the window which faces the dead man
打开窗 将烟丢出去
Opens it and throws the cigarette out
然后他走到第二层 做了同样的事情
Then he goes to the second floor and does the same
他每一层都做了同样的事情
He continues until he has visited all the floors
一遍又一遍地重复这个动作
and repeated the action again and again
然后他回到团队里
Then he returns to his team
说这起案件毫无疑问是谋杀 而不是自杀
and says that it was by no means a suicide but a murder

Two young ladies were having dinner together.

They both ordered ice tea

one of them was very thirsty and drank very fast
期间她喝了五杯
She had five glasses during the time
而另一位只喝了一杯
the other drank only one
悲剧的是这位小口斟酌
Tragically the girl who was nursing her drink
喝得比较慢的女生却死了
and drinking slowly died.
另一位幸免于难
The other stayed alive
不过结果发现她们俩喝的饮料都是有毒的
But it turned out that all the drinks they had been served contain poison

有个人被发现死在了自己的车里
A man was found shot to death in his car
警察很伤脑筋 因为他的衣服和车里都没有发现火药痕迹
The policemen were puzzled as there was no gunpowder on his clothes or anywhere else in the car
这意味着枪击他的人是在车外的
This meant that the person who shot him was outside
但所有的车窗是关着的 车门也都锁上了
But all the windows were closed. All the doors locked
仅有的一个弹孔是在这个男人的身上
And the only bullet-hole was on the man’s body.

A woman was having breakfast at a nice restaurant

At one moment she noticed a fly in her coffee

She was indignant
让人给她重新上一杯咖啡
and made the way to bring her another cup of the drink
他重新送来一杯咖啡后
After he returned with a new cup of coffee

She shouted:” what is the service in this place?”

You have brought me the same cup of coffee.

Number four: in court for killing the wife
一个男人被指控杀害自己的妻子
a man is accused of killing his wife,
他的律师 在最后陈述时
his lawyer, in his final statement,

declares that the wife of the man in fact hasn’t been killed
一分钟后会走进法庭
and will enter the courtroom in a minute
每个人包括法官和陪审团都转而望向门口
Everybody in the room including the judge and the jury turns and looks at the door
律师和被告看着他们
and the lawyer with the defendant looks at them
几分钟过去了 律师开口了
Several minutes pass and the lawyer says

it proves that you are not so sure that my client has killed his wife
否则你们不会相信我”
Otherwise you wouldn’t believe me

Almost immediately after that the jury comes up with a guilty verdict.

A man carrying two bags with sand
在墨西哥边境骑行
crosses the Mexican border on a bicycle every day
海关工作人员照例检查背包
Customs officers regularly check the bags
里面总是装着沙子
and all the time they contain sand
很明显 这个人在走私
it is obvious that the man smuggled something
但是工作人员不知道到底他走私什么东西
But the officers can’t realize what it is exactly
因为他们一直找不到这个人过境的证据
as they don’t have any proof the man crosses the border without interruptions
他到底在走私什么？计时开始
What does he smuggle? your time has started
他巧妙地用两袋沙子分散了海关工作人员的注意力
This creative individual distracts the custom officers attention with the bags of sand,
事实上他走私的是自行车
but in fact he smuggles bicycles
第二 自杀信息
Number two suicide message
一个男人被发现陈尸在一间公寓里
A body of a man was found in the flat
他倒在桌子上有段时间了 手里还握着枪
At some moment, he collapsed against his desk, a gun in his hand
警方发现旁边有一台盒式录音机
The police found a cassette recorder nearby
他们按下播放键 听到了：
when they pressed the play button, what they heard was:
我不能再这样活下去了
I can’t live like this anymore
然后便听到一声枪声
Then the sound of a gunshot was heard
但是侦探很快就发现这是一起谋杀
However, the detective immediately figured out that it was a murder
