Ten countries where rich people can do whatever they want.
Welcome to ALUX.com
The place where future billionaires come to get inspired.
Today ALUX.com original video might be slightly controversial.
That’s because, despite everything you’ve been told,
we haven’t all been created equal
The rules are not the same for everybody.
Not all of us have access to the same type of education or resources.
And we want to shine some light on the places
where if you were rich enough, you can do pretty much whatever you want
Let’s get started!
I know you are not expecting to see a European country on this list.
But in the last couple of years,
corruption in Spain has been soaring
Don’t believe us?
Spain’s largest ever corruption trial ended just 3 years ago
with 53 people convicted from breaching planning laws,
real estate fraud, bribery and money laundering,
centering around the Coastal del Sol, resort of Marbella
The so-called Malaya case all around 670 million Euros
paid and bribes during the 90s,
and implicated the entire town hall including 3 former Mayors
The mastermind was one Antonio Roca.
A man who went from being unemployed to a multi-millionaire
in just over a decade,
which he accumulated a hundred and thirty properties,
including three mansions,
a vintage car collection
stables full of thoroughbred racehorses
and a warehouse crammed with artwork
Everything is cheap in Thailand.
And if you have enough money,
there isn’t a thing you can’t get your hands on
Just last year,
the Prime Minister was taken down on corruption charges,
and the Thai police,
leads the pack in terms of the most corrupt institution in the country
If you pay, they look the other way.
The same rule goes for the rest of the institutions in the country.
Companies are throwing money at people in management positions,
and they’re getting away with it
One of the most profitable is the finishing industry,
which was basically overtook by a few shell companies
You will expect the list like this without a few tax heaven,
Belize is one of the most favorites at ALUX.
It’s one of the main choices
where rich people park their excess cash
Everything in Belize has a price
that can be paid as a bribe to the appropriate government official
Want residency quick?
A $15,000 of $30,000 payment
will do the trick
Need a permit for vehicle on the island?
$30,000 and it’s done!
And on, and on……
We’re not paid to say this or anything,
but Amazon has a TV series
which we recommend you guys check out
It’s called mad dogs,
and the action takes place in Belize
The storyline is decent,
and you get to see the kind of lifestyle,
money buys you there
Although the Panama papers scandals was big,
money is still King in Panama
Apart from being a tax heaven,
almost every industry in the area
is being controlled by special interest
Just recently one of the main publications in Panama
tried to break the story about a company extracting gold
from two gold mines,
in the mountains of Coke Losito without government intervention
Billions of dollars worth of gold and copper
have been extracted and taken all over the country since 2009
The story was quickly taken down
and sparked protest from a small local community
The company, by the way, is Petaquilla Minerals,
headquartered in Vancouver, Canada
money can make your entire family tree rich
Well, if you have enough money,
you can bribe city officials to award you
billion dollar contracts with the state department
Let me give you an example,
and embezzlement scandal at Colombia’s main oil refinery refigure,
has become Colombia’s biggest corruption scandal ever
with 4 billion dollars missing
and a 60 million dollar prostitute bill
Yes, you heard that right!
Reficar is one of the biggest oil refineries in South America,
responsible for fifty percent of the country’s exports
and they decided to modernize it
The project was meant to cost 3.3 billion dollars.
Instead it has come in at 8,016 billion dollars.
That is the equivalent of 1.5 times the cost of
the widening of Panama Canal
It turns out 16 million alone was paid to sex workers.
The bill’s put into the taxpayer,
and the government keeps throwing the blame
from one party to the other
No.5 Dominican Republic
The goal in Dominican Republic
is buy yourself a seat in the government
Let me put it this way,
The average salary in the country
is around $250 to $350
Wanna know how much a politician’s salary is?
$13,000 per month!
Low-level politicians earn $10,000 per month.
While the ones of the top
make million-dollar deals owning ghost companies,
that when auctions, and then disappear
Not a single politician has been put in jail or even tried.
Even those for whom
there is incontrovertible evidence of
ghastly instances of fraud and corruption
In Dominican Republic
money buys you immunity
No.4 The Middle East
We’ve bundled several countries here together.
The war-torn region is up for grabs right now.
If you exclude Qatar
and the United Arab in Emirates,
You’re left with the countries
that are so trying to get a sense of what is going on
and companies are banking on it
Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Libya and Sudan
are perceived to be especially corrupt,
and are perceived as anything goes countries
War is highly profitable,
and money fuels war
The institution’s stop corruption are there,
but they’re not working
Anyone with enough access to capital
can cut themselves a piece of the pie
No.3 African countries
It’s a similar situation with the Middle East.
Only in this case,
money buys you militia or your personal army
just to keep you save
Somalia is currently the most corrupt country in the world.
You might even have heard of Somalian pirates.
Even if you look at South Africa,
one of the most developed in Africa,
there’re clear cases of corruption
Even the President Jacob Zuma is a multi-millionair,
and his personal friends are worth fortunes
Mexico is a playground for the rich.
Although not publicly,
there is a lot of money
flooding into Mexico for all around the world
Buliding hotels, resorts, mining companies, large pieces of land and so on…
All of these can be achieved
if you know the right people
Everybody’s corrupt and may tend to get away with it.
A couple of months ago,
even the Mexico President Enrique Peña Nieto
took the opportunity to apologize
for one of the deafening scandals of his tenure,
the purchase by his wife of a 7 million dollar mansion
through a favorite government contractor
After the apology,
the journalists who uncovered the deal
was fired and she says,
she’s under surveillance
No.1 ”the land of opportunity”– United States of America
A billionaire is currently the elected president
Need we say more?
The title of this video is
“10 countries where rich people can do whatever they want”
including being the President of the second largest economy in the world
and the largest military force
The U.S. might not ranked as North Sudan
on the most corrupt counties in the world index
But having money comes with the advantages,
we are going to go deep because we can spend hours on this
Here are just a few examples,
“O. J. Simpson case”
If it wasn’t for his incredibly expensive lawyer,
who, by the way, is Kim Kardashian’s biological father,
O. J. would have been found murdered
The nation was in shock
when the court found him not guilty
in the eyes of the law
“But ALUX, that was a while ago,
this definitely doesn’t happen now, does it?”
You might not heard about this story.
Ethan Couch, a teenager
killed four people while driving drunk in 2013
His legal-defense with affluenza
and would not make this thing up
Affluenza means he isn’t guilty
because all his life, he’s been rich
and the idea of hurting others or doing something wrong
was not something he was familiar with
After a major backlash from the population and violating his parole,
they wanted to bring him in
That moment he decided to play the country,
and he even got away with it
He got arrested several weeks later in Mexico with his mother
when he used his personal credit card to pay for pizza
I know this is a long vedio and we worked really hard on it.
Hopefully you guys find it interesting enough to share with a friend.
What do you think about these countries?
Do you live in any of them?
We wanna hear back from you on this one.
As always we’re in the comments.
As a reward for watching the entire vedio,
we’d like to congratulate Denmark
for being the least corrupt country in the world
and treating everybody the same
Denmark is probably the best country in the world
for the average individual,
if we were to factor in everything
